Influenced by summer break,the antimony market remains quiet in the week.The price of 99.65% antimony is RMB 41,000-41,500/mt in free market,dropped by RMB300-350/mt compared with last week. England Metal bulletin Antimony Price is also dropped by USD50/mt.
The antimony trioxide export market does not active,and only small amount order forms have been made.At present,the price of 99.5% antimony trioxide export to Europe is USD 5,550-5,600/mt,dropped by USD 30-50/mt compared with last week. European traders deem it that influenced by summer break and antimony durative high price,the price of antimony will dropped continuous in recent weeks.They think that the suppliers would like to decrease stock because of financing problem. But some customers think that the antimony oxide price may keeps calm in the near future because in the last years,antimony price did not decrease in the summer break,sometimes even increased.And another reason is that the Chinese government now is controling antimony export,therefore,the antimony price will not wave a lot recently. Hunan antimony-produce district is suffering flood and exploder using is limited in Olympic times,so the production and supplying problem of antimony material still can not solved.Indicated by customers that the antimony price has little chance to go down because the exchange rate of USD against RMB is instable,and electric power is shortage all over the world.
